FAQ
Our pergolas are measured based on the roof coverage instead of from post to post. We recommend marking out where you want the posts to go, then letting one of our experts measure our exactly what size you need for the space.
Pressure treated lumber needs to be stained after it fully dries, which takes about (2-3 months). Rough sawn cedar does not need to be stained unless you want it to be a different color or want extra protection. Cedar can be stained immediately.
Staining your pergola prevents rotting, protects from UV rays, and deters pests.
You can ask us to stain your pergola, or DIY!
Once the site is measured, we prepare the customized pergola. It will take approximately 3-4 weeks for the material to arrive and be ready for installation. The actual installation will typically only take 1-2 days.
Anywhere... mostly.
There are a few things you should look to avoid:
- Utilities (we will need to dig down to set the posts), call 811 to have your gas line and water lines marked out.
- Major roots or trees.
- A deck or patio that prevents digging out footers for the posts.
If you are unsure: Ask us! We are happy to take a look at the site and create a solution for you.
